خلاصه مقاله:
Background: Bond strength of fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) posts can be influenced by the post surface treatment method. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of surface treatment method on the bond strength of FRC posts. Methods: ۴۰ extracted mandibular premolars with minimum root length of ۱۴ mm were cut from ۱ mm above CEJ and root canal treatment was performed on them. Randomly divided into ۲ groups: Group ۱ surface treatment with hydrogen peroxide (H۲O۲) ۲۴%, group ۲ surface treatment with hydrofluoric acid (HF) ۱۰% and posts in ۲ groups cemented with Luxacore cement. The push-out test was performed on ۲ mm sections from cervical, medial and apical areas of roots in universal testing machine with speed of ۱ mm/min. Bond strength was calculated in megapascal. The failure mode of the specimens was analyzed under stereomicroscope at ×۴۰ magnification. The data were statistically analyzed with SPSS ۲۱ and the results were evaluated by ANOVA, chi۲ tests at the significance level of p<۰. ۰۵.Results: Bond strength was ۲۲. ۱۳ ± ۱۰. ۱۲ and ۲۱. ۲۷ ± ۹. ۴۵ megapascal in group HF and H۲O۲ respectively. There was no significant difference between two surface treatment methods and bond strength. The most mode of fracture was in cementum-dentin.Conclusion: Based on the result of the present study, surface treatment can affect the bond strength of FRC posts. Further studies are recommended.
