Abstract:
In this paper, a broad-band printed MIMO (۲×۱) antenna of compact size (۹.۸×۵) mm۲ has been designed and analyzed to work at frequencies (۲۵.۵ to ۴۲) GHz for wireless power transmission which are used for fifth generation (۵G) applications. The MIMO antenna is printed on FR۴ substrate with E, = ۴.۴, h = ۱.۶mm and tand = ۰.۰۲۵, where the front side of the material made set of slits, and the back side was completely scraped for perform broad-band operation. The parasitic technique was used in this antenna in order to reduce the mutual coupling between two ports, which are ten rectangular pieces separated from each other and two pieces, one at the top of the antenna and the other below, connecting the two antennas together. The design and simulation results of this MIMO antenna have been done with the help of Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio packages software ۲۰۲۲. Through the simulation, it was found that the S-parameter for ۲-port is less than -۱۰ dB and the mutual coupling for this ports is very low.
