Finite Element and Investigation of Stress on ۷۰۷۵ Aluminum Pipe Using Hydro-Forming Process

The Hydroforming is a forming method in which, instead of hard metal, a high-pressure fluid is used to apply the forming force to the workpiece. Hydroforming is divided into two general categories: hydroforming of metal sheets and hydroforming of hollow parts. In both categories, a hydroforming mold, a press to keep the mold closed during forming, and a fluid pressure boosting system are needed. The high-pressure fluid, like a precise mandrel, presses the metal under forming to the wall of the mold and prevents the formation of wrinkles in the part. Also, by pressing the workpiece against the wall of the mold, the fluid increases the tension and as a result changes the shape of the wax. This wax-like strain reduces the spring return of the molded part after exiting the mold.
