MAIN COMPONENTS OF SEISMIC RISK OF GYUMRI CITY (ARMENIA)

For the first time the estimation of main components of seismic risk for the territory of Gyumri city is conducted. For that aim the micro-zonation map of the territory of Gyumri , data about building up and vulnerability of main types of buildings, number and density of population of the city, thickness of temporary dwellings was used. The work is interesting because the map of seismic risk components of the city, which was destroyed up to 30 - 40 % during the strong earthquake of 1988 and until now is not recovered completely, is built. For that aim formatting of necessary information is done, database by GIS technologies is created. The risk is estimated by the express method. In the account of different risk components the statistical data were wildly used (demolishing of buildings ,number of injured and victims, origin of fires etc) and the results of the analysis of consequences of Spitak earthquake of 1988 (M= 7,0) In the result of the work, the map of the risk of destructions of buildings, the map of fire - hazardous zones of the territory city are built, human losses are calculated.
