Reactive power compensating sources can be used as controlled reactive loads to level the demand level during off-peak times and as a means to generate and control reactive power during the day to provide electrical energy to the power grid during peak hours. Power consumption is used. In this regard, it seems necessary to have accurate information about the presence of these resources for the user of the power system, which is possible by modeling their behavior. On the other hand, one of the prominent components in the increase of distribution network losses is the issue of load imbalance in distribution networks, as well as the arrangement and topology of the network, as well as the location of reactive power generation sources in the network, play a significant role in the amount of network losses and the voltage value in each one. It has network buses. Therefore, in this article, determining the optimal location and capacity of static compensating sources of reactive power in unbalanced distribution networks with the aim of reducing losses and improving the voltage profile will be discussed.
