Introducing Application Of Incident CommandStructure In Tabriz Municipality

Emergency responses are non-routine; response activities required at the time of any kind of emergency caused either by natural or human made hazards. The importance of emergency response can be understood from the fact that the first few hours or the initial few days are the most crucial period during any disaster either for saving lives or for providing essential relief to the affected population. However during this time, response activities have to be coordinated as a number of agencies must work together in an organized and effective manner. The incident command system (ICS) is a framework for organizing and directing on-site, tactical responses to a particular event or series of events. ICS provides a command structure for coordination, information flow, analysis, decision-making, communications, and implementation in an authoritative and standardized manner. This paper outlines the key components of ICS, as well as major elements for building ICS. Also,This document establishes guidelines for the implementation of all components of ICS for Crisis in the municipality operations.
