The role of urban fabric development in the safety quality of urban neighborhoods’ case Study : Sadeghieh neighborhood in Tehran

In order to develop the urban fabric with the aim of increasing safety against damage and reducing vulnerability, we are forced to know the vulnerability factors of each physical element of the city. For this reason, identifying the factors that increase the quality of safety against earthquakes is of special importance. This research tries to provide an extensible model to determine the vulnerable points in order to deal with earthquake risks and to use them in the design and implementation of urban development in Sadeghieh neighborhood located in the ۲nd district of Tehran by applying the latest statistical methods and AHP. The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical. data collection has been done through library method and field collection. the field information that has been analyzed in this research is extracted from the data of answered questionnaires (۳۰ questionnaires) by the residents of Sadeghieh neighborhood of Tehran. Based on the results of Hierarchical Analysis (AHP), fabric pattern and physical structure, lack of quality of buildings and building materials, permeability (communication network), building density and area of parts are important factors that should be considered in the development The urban fabric development can significantly increase the quality of safety against earthquakes.
