Abstract:
Suitable location of suppliers play an important role in the costs decrease and satisfying customers demand in a supply chain management. In this paper, we illustrate that supplier location problem can be formulated by extended covering location model which demands are vague. We apply linguistic values to appraise the demand weights of customers. In presented model, we consider customers demand coverage, setup costs, and penalty costs, because sometimes lack of covering for customers is so important because of their great penalty and setup costs. In this case the maximization of total covered demand is not sufficient and minimization of total penalty and setup cost must be considered too, so in this paper multiple objective model is presented for covering problem paying attention to three criteria based on fuzzy set theory(FST) simultaneously. Also we consider backup covering case. The results show that by proposed model we will have better coverage for customers with a minimum cost
