objective :The aim of present study was to investigate the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on individual-social adaptation and happiness of second grade high school female students in Bandar Abbas city in the academic year of ۲۰۱۹-۲۰۲۰. This research is of the semi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design with a control group. To conduct research, ۶۳ students were selected after conducting the California Adaptation Scale and the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire by multi-stage cluster sampling and randomly in two equal (۳۰) experimental and control groups. The subjects of the experimental group were trained ۸ sessions each one and half hour under the Act training course. The control group did not receive any intervention. The obtained data were analyzed using statistical method of covariance analysis.results :The results showed that the symptoms of maladaptation in the subjects of the experimental group compared to the control group have significantly decreased and their happiness increased.Conclusion: The Study Showed that commitment and acceptance therapy affects individual-social adaptation and happiness of high school students, and this hypothesis is confirmed.
