خلاصه مقاله:
Silver is a non-toxic inorganic metal that is a safe antibacterial agent; it has been reported that silver is a strong agent that is capable of killing ca. 650 disease-causing organisms in the body. Thus, silver has the potential to be an excellent antibacterial agent. As technologies for producing nanoparticles have developed to a high-degree recently, attempts have been made to apply them to antibacterial finishing [1].The research interest in this field of material science stems from the fact that there are different methods to incorporate silver in various polymeric substrates. One conventional approach is by the deposition of metallic silver directly onto the surface of the substrate, for example by vapour coating, sputter coating, ion beam coating [2] or RF-plasma and vacuum deposition [3]. However, this technique generally suffers from many demerits, which include poor adhesion, lack of coating uniformity, add time, cost, and complexity to the overall process of fabrication of the antimicrobial material [4] and the need for special processing conditions and long term activity. In this article, we use the conventional exhaustion method for the first time for treatment of textile goods with Ag nanoparticles as antibacterial agent. Effect of two kinds of nano-silver colloidal solutions with different stabilizers and different temperature on adsorption of Ag on cotton fabrics determined. Finally, the antibacterial activity of the particles treated samples was tested against Escherichia coli bacteria.
