welding of aluminum alloyw and high strength steel sheets by magnetic pulse welding technique

thw magnetic pulse welding MPW is a cold weld process of conductive metals to the similar of dissimilar material .this cold weld process uses magnetic pulse welding which is welding via a magnetic field applied to an outer work -piece in order to collapse the outer work-piece onto an inner work-piece at a high enough velocity to achieve a full metallurgical bond this report presents the results of an investigation for optimizing the quality of welds for various combination of aluminum alloys A1050,A5052,16111 and A6061 and high strength steel SPFC-590MPa SPFC-780MPa and SPFC-980MPa using MPW technique the detail of welding process parameters and its characteristics are also reported.
