Abstract:

The behvior of A1 -steel bilayer sheets produced by rolling process is investigated through wedge tearing process .A1-steel bilayer sheets are one of important commercial material due to good mechanical and corrosion properties and low weight understanding energy absorption behavior during collisionis vital for design purposes to reduce loses in human and materials resources in collision of sheets by rigid bodies there are several forms of energy absorption ways such as crumpling folding or tearing in order to realize the behavior of welded sheets during tearing load displacement curves of welded and non-welded bilayer sheets are achieved and energy absorption during tearing is obtained from calculating the surface area limited to each curve the load-displacement curves comprise two main stages the first stage corresponds to membrane stretching or cutting in front of the wedge and the second stage relates to bending of flaps behind the wedge tip.
