Abstract:

surface wetting of base metals by brazing alloys is one of the mostimportant effective parameter in joining by brazing since in this investigation vacuum brazing process using BNI-2 brazing alloy was applied for these types of joints brazing cycles were performed at temperatures ranging from 1020 to 1050 C under different holding times ranging from 5 to 20 minutes acoording to classical model surface wetting angel was measured by light microscope it was observed that wetting angel is decreased by increasing temperature or time in brazing cycles . micriostructure and chemical composition of solidified brazing alloy was evaluated by scanning electron microscope SEM equipped with an energy dispersive spectroscopy EDS UNIT. the results showed that tehre are three different zones in the solidified brazing alloys.
