Beauty brings good feelings to a weary soul. Many designers spend their lifetime trying tomake an art form that people will appreciate for as long as it lasts. The environment is theprimary source of inspiration for many designers. From the beginning of creation, humanbeing was surrounded by nature. Nature has many great lessons for human to study andlearn from it. Everything in nature is well organized and in harmony with the other parts ofit. Through the history, nature has been always a source of inspiration for the human beginin different aspects of their life. Architecture as one of the remarkable features in everysociety cannot be separated from nature. Sources of inspiration play an important role inthe design process, both in defining the context for new designs and in informing thecreation of individual designs. Purpose to assess the creative role of sources of inspirationin architecture and design aims to analyze simple, general accounts of observed designbehavior and early stages of the design process in every field of art, what is the nature ofdesign inspiration, how sources of inspiration are gathered and how they affect thecreativity and originality in architecture. By attention to the evolution of architecturethrough the different periods, a considerable point comes up to be discussed. As it has beenshown in the early period of architecture the only source for the human being to take anidea was nature.
