خلاصه مقاله:
The influential role of translation throughout the history of civilization is a undenoyable fact. Translation is a useful device for transmission of scince, culture, policy, economy and ext, among different countries and societies.translation has different areas, one of this areas related to translation of indirect speech.The purpose of this study was to identify and classify the different ways in which the English indirect speech sentences in pride and prediguce were translated in to Persian. In order to do identified most of indirect speech sentences in the English text and their equivalents in the Persian text and wrote them on separate note cards, then I underlined the special point and its Persian equivalent, and codified each of the note cards.At the end, the data have been classified on the basis of strategies the translator used in rendering of indirect speech sentences.The most frequently used strategy related to change in tenses with(۷۸.۶۶%)and the strategy that had less application was addition of verbs with(۶.۶۷%).
