In this paper, MnO۲ nanoparticles were very well synthesized by thermal decomposition route of manganese-metal organic framework (Mn-MOF) nanoparticles as a new manganese precursor. Mn-MOF string like nanoparticles were prepared by an easy hydrothermal method using ۱,۳,۵-benzentricarboxylic acid as organic ligand and MnCl۲. Pure cubic phase of MnO۲ nanoparticles were synthesized after calcination of Mn-MOF nanoparticless at ۲۲۵ °C for ۶h into an autoclave. The morphology and microstructure of the achieved products were characterized by X-ray diffraction patterns, energy- dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Fourier transformed infrared spectrum, scanning electron microscopy and transition electron microscopy.
