Abstract:
Maintenance strategy selection is a strategic decision making problem that a manufacturing f'Irm in current competitive world encounters. In this study, a model has beenintroduced for the selection of optimum strategy based on fuzzy analytic network process (ANP) and stochastic dominance degree(SDD). By using ANP, the priority of the criteria and the sub-criteria in BOCR (benef'It, opportunity, cost, and risk) clusters wasdetermined. Fuzzy number was used to overcome ambiguity inthe expert viewpoint. At the end, the weights of sub criteria were determined. In this study, to rank the maintenance strategies, astochastic method based on SDD matrix on pair-wise comparisons of strategies with respect to each sub-criterion wasused. A specific example of selection of maintenance strategies in a power plant with the application of the proposed method is given,showing that the condition-based maintenance strategy is the most suitable for turbines
