Protecting the environment using wastewater nutrient removal and water recycling

Today, the reuse of sewage and wastewater is very important due to the limited availability of water resources that is practiced by specialists in most advanced countries.In this study, by comparing the two methods of membrane and hybrid electro bioreactor process, we found that the membrane in the first method had earlier fouling than the second method. Therefore, in the membrane electro-bioreactor, in addition to the membrane filtration and activated sludge, the chemical process of electrical coagulation is performed concurrently, in which the quality of the product of the output is improved and fouling is reduced, in this method, relative to the membrane bioreactor, the percentage of removal of oxygen is significant so according to the above it is recommended to use the membrane electro-bioreactor method as an alternative to the membrane bioreactor for pre-treatment of reverse osmosis unit.
