خلاصه مقاله:
The hydrodynamic and thermal boundary layer on a horizontal flat platewas investigated in the study. This topic has always been of interest toresearchers for its use in various industrial fields. Creating a boundarylayer in both laminar and turbulent regimes changes the characteristics ofthe flow and ultimately can significantly reduce or increase the amountof heat transfer. In this study, a ۱-meter-long horizontal plate is exposedto an air fluid with a temperature of ۳۰۰ K. The constant temperatureassumption of ۴۰۰ K was also used for the flat plate and Fluent softwarewas used to analyze the numerical results. Also, all the obtained resultswere compared with the experimental equations of Kilton-Kelbron sothat the average error obtained is below ۱۰%. In this research, bothlaminar and turbulent flow regimes were numerically analyzed so thatthe Reynolds number changes between ۱۰,۰۰۰ and ۵,۰۰۰,۰۰۰. In allnumerical analyzes the number of rectangular grids created using Gambitsoftware was ۸۰,۰۰۰. According to the results, the velocity profile in allthe numerical analyzes related to the laminar flow is a quadratic equationso that the slope of the velocity changes relative to the axis perpendicularto the flow is lower than the slope of the turbulent flow.
