خلاصه مقاله:
Objective: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetes mellitus can influence coronary artery disease (CAD) independently. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and CAD in type ۲ diabetic patients (T۲DM). Materials and Methods: This cross sectional study evaluated ۳۶۲۴ T۲DM patients with clinical presentation of CAD whose documents were registered in angiography center of Shahid Mohammadi Hospital in Bandar Abbas, Iran during ۱۸ months. GFR was measured by MDRD method and divided into ۵ subgroups: GFR< ۱۵, ۱۵≤ GFR< ۳۰, ۳۰≤ GFR< ۶۰, ۶۰≤ GFR< ۹۰ and GFR≥ ۹۰. Then the association of ۵ subgroups of GFR with coronary angioplasty in T۲DM patients was evaluated. T-test was used to compare the mean of quantitative variables, and chi-squared test for qualitative variables. Using SPSS- ۲۲ the collected data were analyzed and P-value< ۰.۰۵ was significant. Results: Among ۳۶۲۴ T۲DM patients, ۳۶% had GFR< ۶۰ (ml/min/۱.۷۳m۲).The highest frequency percentage of coronary angioplasty (۵۳%) was observed in the GFR stage ۳ (۳۰-۶۰) ml/min/۱.۷۳m۲. A significant inverse association was observed between the GFR of T۲DM patients and the frequency of CAD. (P-value< ۰.۰۰۱). There was also a significant association between GFR< ۶۰ and history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. (P-value< ۰.۰۰۱). Conclusion: A reduced GFR in patients with diabetes has associations with CAD.
