In recent years, nanoparticles have been used as supports for the stabilization of homogeneouscatalysts [۱,۲]. Among them, mesoporous silica materials, such as MCM-۴۱, have high stability inaqueous solution, air atmosphere and high temperature. Large specific surface area of MCM-۴۱(>۱۰۰۰ m۲/g) including a lot of silanol groups leads to ease modification of its surface [۳]. Highstability of MCM-۴۱ allows the application of MCM-۴۱ in harsh condition of the organic reactions[۴]. Moreover, the large specific pore volume of MCM-۴۱ which is up to ۱.۳ ml/g allowssupporting of huge organic ligands and metal complexes into its channels [۵-۷]. In this regard, weare reporting a samarium Schiff-base complex on MCM-۴۱ (Sm@Schiff-base@MCM-۴۱) as anefficient and heterogeneous nanocatalyst for the synthesis of tetrazole derivatives. Sm@Schiffbase@MCM-۴۱ was characterized by various techniques such as BET, TGA, XRD, FT-IR, SEM,EDS, WDX, and ICP. Sm@Schiff-base@MCM-۴۱ can be recovered and reused for several runswithout significant change in its catalytic activity
