خلاصه مقاله:
Model predictive control (MPC) is one of the most common control techniques in the vibration control of building structures considering their behavior in the future. In most cases, predicting the responses of the structures in the future only by relying on system dynamics and without regarding the effects of the external loads can be a challenging issue. Therefore, it is necessary to tackle this problem providing the conditions that allow the nature of the loads to be observable in the future. In this paper, a developed model predictive control (DMPC) scheme including actuator saturation and a term that involves the seismic excitation effect in the obtained control rule is proposed. For this purpose, the seismic excitation model is formulated by two autoregressive (AR) model. One of the AR models estimates the future output of the seismic excitation, and the second one improves the estimation accuracy. Then, the efficiency of the presented approach is demonstrated by the numerical study of a nine-story benchmark building. The performance of the conventional MPC is finally compared with the proposed method. The numerical results indicate the higher conformity of the obtained responses of the proposed MPC with the ideal condition in which the applied seismic loads are supposed to be already known, almost in all of the applied earthquake records. The average conformity values for all of the performance indices for the proposed method is by up to ۹% more than the values in conventional case.
