Astragalus eugenii, A. kabristanicus, A. orbiculatus, and A. takhtadjanii are reported for the first time from Iran. Astragalus absentivus, A. galbineus, A. inquilinus, A. leonardii. A. neo­mobayenii, A. patrius, A. rivashensis, and A. typhaeformis are described as new species from Iran. Relatives, affinities and characteristic differences of the new species are explained.
