Twointerestingcoastalspecies, Eleochariscaduca(Delile) Schultes and Carex extensaGood. arereported as new records for the flora of Iran. Thesespecies have been collectedfrom the coastal line of Langerud­Lahijan in Gilan province, Iran. Characteristics and geographical distribution of the species are presented. Eleochariscaducaiscomparedwithcloselyrelatedspecies, Eleocharisgeniculata(L.) Roemer&Schultes. Distribution of Carex extensain Asia isalsopresented in the map.
