The process of estimating the effort required for a software project involves determining the time and resources needed by an engineer to develop a software application. This estimation phase is crucial in the development process as it helps to set the project cost and attract clients. Achieving precise and reliable estimations during the initial stages of a project can be challenging, and machine learning algorithms are a potential solution to this problem. In this study, we have analyzed various studies and trends in the use of machine learning algorithms for software estimation, which has resulted in cost and parameter reductions for projects. Accuracy, root mean, and relative absolute errors are used to calculate the accuracy of effort estimation
