The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of hope therapy and writing therapy on self-esteem, psychological well-being and resilience of married women working in education in Shiraz city. This study was a quasi-experimental quantitative study with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population of the study was employed and married women in education, among which ۴۵ people were selected by random sampling method and were divided into two experimental and control groups (۱۵ in each group). Both experimental groups were treated in ۱۱ sessions of ۷۰ minutes. Cooper-Smith Self-Esteem Questionnaire (۱۹۵۴), Kolennan (۱۹۹۶) and Reef Psychological Well-Being Questionnaire (۱۹۸۸) were administered before the beginning of treatment and the end of the treatment sessions. The control group received no intervention. The findings of multivariate analysis of covariance showed that both hope therapy and writing therapy on self-esteem, psychological well-being and resilience married women working in education are effective. The results showed that hope therapy had more effectiveness on self-esteem, psychological well-being and resilience of married women working in writing therapy.
