Time Domain Modeling and Experimental Validation of Brushless Synchronous Generators

In this paper the operation of brushless synchronous generator is investigated and a timedomain model with more concentration on the operationof brushless excitation system is presented. An averagevalue model of exciter-rectifier is derived in which the behavior of the exciter-rectifier system is expressed byexplicit equations. Simulation results are compared with experimental results carried out in an actual power plant to verify the accuracy of the proposed model
