The present study attemts to identify
in iranian learners dominant learning strategies.Rebecca oxford questinnaire consist of six subgroups of memory.,cognitive,compensatory,metacognitive,emotional and social after assessingthe
. validity and reliability of questionnaire
300 language learners were asked to answer it.after examimining the result it was found that iranian learners are more likely to use metacognitive and compensatory strategies.T test findings revealed a significant difference between memory and social strategies in gender variable.in the end learners teachers and authors were advise ti devise adequate strategies for all strategies specially metacognitive strategies in learning teaching and writing
