Skin cancer is a threatening and challenging cancer in white and Caucasian population. The skin is the largest organ of the body. Skin cancer is caused by unrepaired deoxyribonucleic acid in skin cells, which causes a genetic defect or mutation in the skin. Skin cancer begins when healthy melanocytes begin to grow out of control and form a cancerous tumor. Skin cancer spreads slowly to other parts of the body. It usually appears on sun exposed areas such as hands, face, neck, lips. Melanoma cancer can be treated if detected early. Otherwise, it will spread to other parts of the body and lead to the painful death of the patient. Skin cancer is divided into two groups: melanoma and non-melanoma. Parameters such as symmetry, color, size, shape. It is used to diagnose skin cancer. Treatment methods such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy face problems such as cost and toxicity, which reduce the therapeutic effect of skin cancer. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and Ag Nanoparticles (AgNPs) have recently been used in the biomedical field, especially in transdermal drug delivery, due to their unique properties. There are barriers to drug delivery through the skin that can be overcome by using nanoparticles. In this article, we examine the revolution of nanoparticles such as gold and silver in the treatment of skin cancer.
