In the present research, ZnO/ ZnWO۴ nanocomposite powders were synthesized by an affordable route. Various approaches have been applied to study the structural and optical properties of the prepared samples. For the first time, the radiation response of prepared nanopowders was studied using ۲۴۱Am alpha source and ion beam induced luminescence (IBIL) measurement. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) confirmed that the some spherical and rod shape particles can be found in the composite samples. Under excitation of ion beam and alpha irradiation, prepared composite showed strong green-yellow emission and sensitivity. As a result, synthesized nanocomposites are expected to have promising applications in optoelectronic devices
