Increasing awareness of environmental concerns has prompted a paradigm shift in architectural design, Given the substantial scale of sports complexes, environmental considerations play a prominent role in their design and development. This article delves into the role of sustainable design in shaping these complexes, focusing on five key criteria: carbon, energy, water, waste, and ecology. By examining the intersection of sustainability and sport facilities, the article emphasizes the importance of integrating eco-friendly practices in the planning, construction, and operation of sport complexes in Iran.
