خلاصه مقاله:
In urban planning processes, attention to the human-environmental perception of urban areas is one of the fundamental principles of urban development. The nature of urban spaces is the result of activities, concepts, and physical characteristics of different urban systems; therefore, user perception provides an analytical approach to spatial judgment. The importance of responding to physical needs and psychological desirability in urban spaces necessitates examining defined territories that affect human perception in their design process. In this study, assuming a significant relationship between the quality of public spaces in garden cities and the perception of environmental audiences exists, the aim is to investigate the impact of the spatial territory concept on the human-environmental perception of residents in two garden city residential complexes in Alborz province. Finally, the desirability of user perception regarding the components affecting spatial quality in the public territory of the garden cities will be compared. The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical with data collection based on library studies (documents) and field observations. In this regard, in the research area field section, ۳۰۰ questionnaires were randomly distributed among garden cities, and SPSS software was used to analyze the study variables. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the t-statistic. The results indicate that the scale, proportion, and spatial variation components in the public territory of Mehrshahr Garden City have been equally successful in both village and aesthetic components in both garden cities due to the emphasis on the concept of order and geometric patterns in spatial configuration. The success of the Village complex compared to Mehrshahr is based on data analysis indicating the influence of spatial continuity and confinement components; as this relates to the appropriate use of separating perimeter fences from urban fabric and benefiting from defined entries in residents' spatial experience.
