Abstract:
The mining industry has long been associated with environmental degradation andpollution. Acid mine drainage (AMD) and mining waste are two of the most significantenvironmental challenges that the industry faces. However, recent developments innanotechnology have opened up a new avenue for tackling these issues. Scientists arenow exploring the use of nanoparticles derived from mining waste and AMD for variousapplications, including environmental remediation, water treatment, and even energygeneration. These innovative solutions are not only environmentally sustainable but alsooffer a unique opportunity to extract value from waste. In this research, we will explorethe exciting world of nanotechnology and how it is transforming the mining industry froma source of waste to a wonder of resourcefulness.
