Abstract:
An efficient method in exploration of sulfide minerals (i.e. copper deposits) is the application ofdeiferent geophysical methods like magnetic surveys, geoelectrical techniques including the inducedpolarization (IP) and the electrical resistivity (Rs). As ۲D geophysical modelling presents an image ofanomalies in depth, but for detail imaging of anomalies it is not as efficient as ۳D modelling. ۳Dmodelling of Magnetic and IP-Rs surveys results present accurate view of anomalies and facilitatesborehole suggestion for detail exploration. In this paper, three-dimensional modeling of geophysicalsurveys of Sheikhdar Abad has been prepared. According to sulfide type of this deposit andparagenesis of copper and iron, after different exploration studies such as, geochemistry, geology, andareal magnetometery, ۳D modelling of magnetic surveys was created from ۲D section profilemodelling and also ۸ IP-Rs profiles have been survived in north – south direction, then their ۳Dmodelling result have been compared to ۳D magnetic modelling and ۳ boreholes results.
