خلاصه مقاله:
For the purpose of removing Methylene Blue (MB) from an aqueous solution through the adsorptionprocess, the H-MMT/MOF-۵ composite (MMT=montmorillonite, MOF= metal-organic framework) wereproduced. Composites made with diverse H-MMT:MOF (w/w%) ratios were used for the MB dye removal tostudy their adsorption characteristics over a ۰-۳۰ min time range. The ۶۰% H-MMT/۴۰% MOF-۵ compositeshowed the greatest amounts of MB removal. For ۶۰% H-MMT/۴۰% MOF-۵ and ۷۰% H-MMT/۳۰% MOF-۱۹۹, optimum MB removals of ۹۷.۵۲ and ۹۸.۷۳% with maximum adsorption capacities (qmax) of ۱۹۲.۳ and۲۳۸.۰۹ mg.g-۱ were obtained. The experimental data of MB adsorption on H-MMT/MOF-۵ compositesfollowed the Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Therefore, the synthesized HMMT/MOF-۵ composites could be effectively used to remove MB from water.
