Depression, one of the most common and significant mental illnesses in globalsocieties, has an extended effect both on individuals and society at large. Thesearch for revolutionary and efficient techniques for managing depression isessential given the complexity of the disorder and the requirement for effectivetreatment methods. Hypnosis is one approach that has captured the fascinationof numerous psychologists and researchers recently. Through increasedconcentration and awareness, hypnosis is a psychocognitive process that allowsan individual to modify their mental and behavioral patterns and reach a state ofgreater sensitivity. This article delves deeply into the use of hypnosis in thetreatment of depression. The aim of the research and concepts are reviewedafter providing a general overview of hypnosis and outlining the significance andintricacy of depression. The analysis’s methods and the instruments used fordetermining hypnosis’s effect on depression are then defined. The study ofhypnosis’s effects on depression is also expected to shed light on how this mentalillness is treated and managed, as well as offer new methods to enhance the livesof those who struggle with it.
