Abstract:
This mixed-methods study investigates the impact of English as an International Language (EIL) on interorganizational communication effectiveness and psychological well-being within Iranian professional contexts. The research examines professionals' experiences navigating multicultural interactions, applying emotional intelligence, and maintaining wellbeing while using EIL in their workplace communications. Quantitative data was collected through a survey of Iranian professionals across diverse industries, assessing their interorganizational communication practices, EIL proficiency, and psychological well-being indicators. Qualitative data was obtained via semi-structured interviews, providing deeper insights into participants' perceptions, strategies, and challenges related to EIL use in professional settings. Mixed-methods data analysis identified potential correlations between EIL proficiency, interorganizational communication success, and psychological well-being among Iranian professionals. The study's findings will contribute to the scholarship on EIL, workplace communication, and psychological well-being, offering valuable implications for professional development programs, language education initiatives, and organizational policymaking.
