Abstract:

Recently, the use of distributed generation resources in distribution networks has extremely spread, especially using renewable energy resources. Distributedgeneration resources can be exploited in various modes such as peak load, base load, reserve supply and etc. In this paper, determination of top limit price in electricity purchasingcontract from distributed generation resources with simulating different modes of operation (peak load and base load) ismainly intended, and an algorithm for distribution network performance with probable load is presented based on MonteCarlo method. The process of top limit price determination of electricity purchasing from distributed generation resources in each mode of operation is also offered in this paper. The implementation results of this method in a sample network indicate that the top limit price of electricity purchasing fromDG is totally dependent to operation modes, network load, the cost of outages and other traits in DG interconnection to the network.
