One-pot synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles by a novel biopolymer based on salep

In this work, monodispersed magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been synthesized by a novel biopolymer based on poly (hydroxymethyl methacrylate) grafted onto salep. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) images indicated that the particle size of the nanoparticles was less than 10 nm. Vibrating-sample magnetometer (VSM) showed that the obtained samples was superparamagnetic with no coercivity at room temperature.
