In this study, graphene nanoplatelets were produced in large quantity via a soft chemistry synthetic route involving graphite oxidation, ultrasonic exfoliation and chemical reduction by hydrazine hydrate. We also present a facile gas-liquid interfacial synthesis approach to prepare graphene assisted with SnO(2) nanoparticles. The as-synthesized graphene and its composite were characterized by fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
