خلاصه مقاله:
Considering the numerous advantages of composite columns ([۱]SRC) and their increasing usage, this research numerically investigates concrete-encased steel columns reinforced with carbon fiber polymer (CFRP) under axial loading using Abaqus software. After validating the finite element model by comparing the results with the experimental study of Zhou et al. (۲۰۱۵), the proposed specimens were analyzed, and the effects of various parameters such as steel casing with different thicknesses, steel section shape, CFRP reinforcement, and longitudinal and transverse reinforcement on the ultimate capacity of SRC columns were studied. The results indicate that the ultimate load of the column with a steel casing is ۸.۷% higher than that without a steel casing. The area under the load-displacement curve of the column with a steel casing after reaching the maximum load is also about ۱۰% higher than that of the column without a steel casing, indicating the high energy absorption capacity of these columns. Moreover, CFRP with full wrapping significantly increases the capacity of these columns by about ۲۲%.
