Tuning the Harmony Memory Considering Rate (HMCR) Parameter of Harmony Search Algorithm

Harmony Search is a recently developed meta-heuristic search algorithm. By now no general parameter tuning has been reported and in different papers different values for its parameters have been used. Respecting the tedious tuning process for users, a general tuning study (the same as many other algorithms) to offer a near optimal parameter value will be useful. In this paper HMCR parameter of algorithm has been studied and then a value (0.92) is suggested.Experiments were performed on a set of famous TSP problem, downloaded from standard TSP library.
