Pre-engineering design and analysis is a critical step in the development and improvement processof factories. This phase of engineering allows engineering to first understand the performance oftheir complex systems through modeling, simulation, and detailed analysis and then implementnecessary improvement. This article explores various methods of pre-engineering design andanalysis in factories. Topics covered include the role of modeling and simulation in preengineeringdesign, optimization methods for factory system, the use of advanced technologiesfor analyzing and improving system performance, and evaluation of different pre-engineeringdesign method.
