A novel class of substituted benzo[d]imidazo[۵,۱-b]thiazol-۱-amine derivatives were synthesized with goodyields in a one-pot, four-component tandem reaction of benzothiazole, trichloroacetimidamide and terminal alkynesin acetonitrile at room temperature. Use of simple and readily available starting materials, one pot, no columnschromatography, copper-catalysts, good to high yields are important features of this protocol.
