In this research, a state-space approach is proposed for modeling and identification of a ۴thorder rotating Electro-Mechanical plant. This system consists of a shaft with two rotating disks,each with two masses, which are driven by a DC servo motor connected to the shaft by pulley.Interestingly, the results have shown that the ۴th order model can be accurately represented bya reduced-order linear model. This simplifies the analysis and control process of the ۴th orderplant.
