"Green technology" serves as an overarching term encompassing any technological innovation designed with environmental friendliness in mind, spanning from its inception in production to its utilization. It represents a dynamic and progressive form of technology aiming to alleviate strain on natural resources, which are being depleted at a rate exceeding their replenishment. The primary objective of green technology is to mitigate climate change, safeguard the natural environment, diminish reliance on non-renewable resources such as fossil fuels, and address environmental degradation. Key sectors actively investing in this technology include transportation, energy, and waste management. Despite the numerous benefits associated with its adoption, green technology must surmount several obstacles before becoming mainstream. Over time, green technology has emerged as one of the fastest-growing employment sectors. It is increasingly evident that investing in green solutions is imperative for human survival, as they mitigate environmental risks and conserve natural resources. As elucidated in this discourse, while emerging technologies for emissions reduction—such as wind power, enhanced solar cells, and electric vehicles—are now available for deployment, the challenge of technology transfer remains pertinent. Developing countries, which are major contributors to global pollution, particularly in terms of CO۲ and other greenhouse gases due to lax environmental policies, underscore the necessity of addressing this issue.
