Abstract:
Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP), is a very strong, light, and expensive composite material. it is used in several civil engineering and other applications. in this paper history of carbon fiber and making of CFRP are explained. CFRP introduces for rehabilitation of existing structures, and then conventional strengthening methods with CFRP, the benefits of using CFRP tape for structural strengthening and using the near surface mounted technique are explained, too.
