Recently, there has been a lot of attention in computer vision, especially in face recognition. Recognition, and localization of facial features. Many important features can be extracted directly from the human face, such as age, gender, and race. Age estimation can be defined as an automatic process of classifying a face The image of a person's face to an exact age or a certain age range. Actually, age estimation from the face is still due to the effects of many internal factors such as gender and race and external factors such as environment and lifestyle. He accepted and was satisfied with many efforts to reach an accuracy and correctness of the task of age estimation. In this article, an attempt is made to present the main aspects that can increase the performance of the age estimation system, based on manual and deep models.This process has been presented with the titles (age estimation algorithms - characteristics of facial aging pattern - challenges in the age estimation process) which leads to a complete understanding of this issue.
