In this paper, we propose a new fuzzy controller for jitter optimization in Phase Lock Loops. The proposed method adjusts the PLL loop parameters such as bandwidth anddamping factor toward minimizing the jitter by a fuzzy logic gain controller. This fuzzy logic gain controller changes theamounts of charge pump current and loop filter resistor by two output gain and then optimizes the PLL loop parameters. First, we will analyze the relationship between PLL output rms timingjitter and the loop parameters and elements of the PLL. Then, we use this analysis results to design the fuzzy logic gaincontroller in MATLAB software. The simulation results show that the new fuzzy controller can significantly, improve the PLL output rms jitter performance without design optimization
