Abstract:
Today, social networks have become an integral part of the lives of teenagers and young people. These platforms provide unique opportunities to learn English informally and in an attractive and interactive context. This article examines the role of social networks in learning English among secondary school students.In this article, social networks and popular platforms among teenagers will be introduced first. Then, the advantages and disadvantages of using social networks to learn English are discussed. In the following, the background of research in this field and the findings of various studies are mentioned.The results of studies show that social networks can be an effective tool for learning English, especially for students who are not interested in traditional learning methods.Using social networks can help increase students' motivation and self-confidence, improve their listening and speaking skills, enrich their vocabulary and improve their grammar.
